Tried uploading a song (100% original) for my game and it got taken down for breaking the intellectual property policies. The song hasnt been uploaded ANY where else so i dont understand how this could have happened. Is there anyway i can get the audio accepted or anything?
I can’t find that ID in our moderation tools. Could you go to https://create.roblox.com/dashboard/creations?activeTab=Audio and find the audio asset you uploaded? If you click on it on that page the URL should contain the ID eg https://create.roblox.com/dashboard/creations/store/<asset id>/configure
Since our systems classified this audio as potentially infringing we are not allowing it to be uploaded to Roblox. Additionally we do not have a way for you to prove that this audio was created by yourself. Due to this we cannot accept this audio on the platform. You will need to try again with a different audio file. Sorry this is not the response you were hoping for.
Today my friend who owns a recording studio and is a musical producer tried uploading some environmental sounds that he designed and saw this error message.
The error that you are seeing means that the this audio file has been uploaded to Roblox already sometime in the past and has been previously rejected by moderation. This is expected behavior when uploading the exact audio file as one that has been uploaded in the past and rejected.
that is impossible, this audio sound has never existed in the past and has been fully produced in a studio.
Both sounds are created by capturing live soundscapes from nature and then edited in DAW.
As far as i know, no one can copyright nature sounds so this has to be a mistake caused by the roblox system. Post processing on the other hand can be copyrighted.
At the same time, claiming that that an original sound is copyrighted by another creator which is not the actual creator of the sound (regardless if intentional or not) can be pretty dangerous
