VBake: Optimize Roblox Models into a Single Colored Mesh

What is VBake?

VBake is a free Blender add-on that converts your Roblox models into a single mesh while preserving all your part colors and merging duplicate vertices. No texture map needed.

Perfect for when you want to turn a multi-part build into a MeshPart but don’t want to deal with UV unwrapping and texture baking.

Features

  • :white_check_mark: Preserves part colors as vertex colors
  • :white_check_mark: Merges duplicate vertices (up to 40% geometry reduction)
  • :white_check_mark: One-click export to FBX
  • :white_check_mark: Simple UI panel in Blender
  • :white_check_mark: Free and open source

Limitations

  • Colors only: does not transfer Roblox materials (Plastic, Metal, Wood, etc.)
  • Best suited for single-material builds where you just need the colors

How To Use

  1. Export your model from Roblox Studio as OBJ
  2. Open Blender and find VBake in the sidebar (press N)
  3. Select your OBJ file and click “Bake & Export”
  4. Import the FBX into Roblox Studio as a MeshPart

Done! Your mesh keeps all the original colors.
